Prepping for Artisan Fair

Sorry not a long post this week as I am prepping for the Artisan Holiday Boutique this weekend.  My goal is to block 2 scarves per day to that everything is crisp and clean for Saturday.  Today are 2 mitered scarves one bamboo and one alpaca.  I have a 7 a.m. set up time for the boutique which goes from 9 to 6 each day.  Luckily for me my friend and alpaca rancher has agreed to give me a lunch break on Saturday.  I might take a nap in the car for a bit.

Also on the to do list is to continue to comb the Shetland fleece and try to save as much of the fiber from this purchase as possible.  I was sold a dual coated black fleece with graying hair throughout the fleece along with horrible second cuts and matting.  The combs are sorting through the guard hair and the waste has been higher than the other fleeces but I have rescued at least an ounce of usable down fiber.  Until next time have a great week.
